What is it with New Zealand and funny travel videos?
Seriously, this nation consistently nails tourism promotions and super funny travel-related videos. Air New Zealand always swings big and connects on its in-flight videos and advertising campaigns, although a dishonourable mention could be made for its last effort. Evidently, even Air NZ flight staff cringed every time the new safety video was played.
But the video, created late last year, is a cracker.
Clever comedian Rhys Darby, who is also a writer and actor (and musician, with quite a few contributions to Flight of the Conchords songs), seeks answers to New Zealand’s placement on the world map and by the end of his quirky deductions, he finds that the country is, in fact, right at the centre of the world. Watch the video and you’ll see why.
What do you think of this video? Have you been to New Zealand? Would you recommend a visit?
