Qantas ups its game, again …

Qantas has upped its game again, this time expanding its inflight entertainment offerings to include guided meditation, free access to over 45 million songs and a myriad of movies through the subscription service, Stan.

If you’re feeling edgy onboard, you can now dial into a free 10-minute guided meditation session from a relaxing series which the airline says will “bring a sense of calm and help customers unwind in the air”.

The sessions include visual journeys of some of the most beautiful scenery on the planet, taken from the air over Australian deserts, bushlands, coasts, forests and locations at twilight.

Qantas also now offers full access to Apple Music, Audible and Stan, which means more TV programs, movies, songs and audiobooks both on and off the aircraft.

By downloading the Qantas App, customers can download content prior to their flight or stream it inflight on domestic wifi-enabled aircraft. Qantas customers will also enjoy up to four months free subscription to Apple Music, one free audiobook per month for three months from Audible.com.au and three months of unlimited access to TV shows and movies on Stan.

“Customers tell us they value being able to take time for themselves inflight and watch a movie or read a book, and now we can help them find a little extra relaxation with guided meditation,” said Qantas chief customer officer Vanessa Hudson.

“Between the special offers from our content providers, programs on seatback screens and wifi rolling out on domestic aircraft, there will be no shortage of entertainment on board.

“Our customers watched 22 million hours of inflight entertainment last year, so we know a lot of people enjoy being able to catch up on their favourite TV shows when they fly or watch movies they didn’t get to see at the cinema.”
