There are many reasons why rail travel is the best way to see Great Britain.
We travelled from London to Fort William in Scotland, then to Glasgow, then onto Edinburgh using a British rail pass and found this to be excellent value, as well as offering the convenience of arriving in the centre of town, each and every time.
It also gave us a really social travel experience as we breakfasted, lunched and dined together with the majestic highland scenery as a backdrop.
