The Great Australian Beer Festival

Geelong is playing host to the Great Australian Beer Festival on 18 February. With over 200 beers and ciders and 13 gourmet food vendors, it’s not just great, it’s darn spectacular!

The fifth annual Great Australian Beer Festival returns to the Geelong Racecourse, featuring over 200 Australian and International beers and ciders from 51 breweries, cellars and cider producers. Add to this some of the region’s best gourmet food offerings and an array of food trucks and barbecues, and this is a day not to be missed.

Step into Australia’s largest alfresco beer and cider garden and discover live music over three stages, beer cabaret, roving performers, food and beer seminars, home brewing lessons and beer cocktails. Make sure you are trackside for Australia’s only beer-inspired race card.

Oh, and did I mention live music? This year’s headline acts include The Potbelleez, Richard Clapton and Jon Toogood, along with more than 20 local and Australian live acts and performers.

So why not head to Geelong and immerse yourself in the colour of this iconic summer festival. I cannot wait to talk to some of Australia’s best craft brewers to learn their secrets and sip their finest brews.
