Travel by your 2020 star sign

Sometimes choosing a destination can be a challenge. Where to go, what to see and with whom you’re travelling all play a part. If you’re lucky, you’ll figure it out by yourself.

Or, you could be a little bit different and follow the stars.

Yes, you can choose your ideal travel destination, according to your zodiac sign.

As you probably know, astrological signs usually focus on personality traits. So using them to choose an ideal destination is not such a silly idea. Anyway, do with it what you will, but here are the best destinations, according to your zodiac sign.

Capricorn (Dec 22–Jan 19)
Capricorns are ambitious and are typically reserved but love being sociable. I reckon Hungary is perfect for a Capricorn. Hungary is the 13th most popular tourist destination in Europe, owing to attractions such as the largest thermal water cave system in the world, the second largest thermal lake and the largest lake in central Europe.

Aquarius (Jan 20-Feb 18)
Known for independence and single-mindedness, Aquarians are more likely to visit a place they’ve been to before. This makes it a great time to Aquarians to revisit London, although we recommend getting in before Brexit wrecks it.

Pisces (February 19–March 20)
Pisces are escapists who enjoy being far away from everything but get bored quite easily. California is quite far away from home but offers plenty of diversity in activities and attractions, which should keep even the most hard to please of Pisceans entertained.

Aries (March 21–April 19)
Independent, energetic and unable to sit for long periods, Aries also need to be on the move. So, places with wide open spaces and lots of hiking opportunities are probably best. Thailand not only offers the opportunity to move between many beaches and islands but also incorporates many different activities to keep you busy, including several World Heritage sites.

Taurus (April 20–May 20)
Last year I suggested Librans take a trip to Norway, but I also think this could be a great destination for Taureans who are loving, warm-hearted and enjoy being self-indulgent.

Gemini (May 21–June 20)
Geminis are adaptable, curious and can fit into any scenario in which they find themselves. On the flipside (as the Gemini sign suggests) they can become bored quite easily. Malta offers a unique European destination, with the ease of a ferry ride across to Italy if you find yourself needing to freshen up your location quickly.

Cancer (June 21–July 22)
Cancerians should choose more adventurous and outdoorsy destinations in 2020, and I have reserved my most adventurous and bold destination for this star sign. While Myanmar is still relatively politically unstable its tourism industry is starting to develop and presents a unique destination few people have visited.

Leo (July 23–August 22)
Leos are fiery and love to be where the action is. We are going to the Caribbean for the Leos, with a trip to the Bahamas offering an exceptional holiday for 2020.

Virgo (August 23–September 22)
Virgos are suckers for detail, so a well-planned itinerary is a must for any Virgo vacation. Virgos research all the best spots, so reading this may be moot. Still, if you’re looking for suggestions, try a trip to Japan this year, especially if you would like to tick off a bucket list item such as attending a summer Olympics.

Libra (September 23– October 22)
Librans love peace, tranquillity and especially romance, but also need some variety. So, look for destinations with a balance of busy and quiet, art and culture offset by food and shopping. Cuba might strike a chord.

Scorpio (Oct 23–Nov 21)
Intense in nature, Scorpios need a mix of nature and convenience to truly unwind. Spain may strike that balance beautifully, it features popular coastlines, diverse landscapes, historical legacy, vibrant culture, and excellent infrastructure.

Sagittarius (Nov 22–Dec 21)
Sagittarians are always hunting for a new adventure, and this year Sweden shapes as the perfect destination.
