Excuse the cheeky title but we just couldn’t resist. Virgin has done everything from flying, gyms and money, to shooting for space – and, as of this year, Virgin can add hotels to the many pies in which it has fingers.
Choosing to launch in Chicago, Virgin has opened its first hotel in a restored 1920s Art Deco landmark. Hoping to stand out in an already crowded market by keeping the millennial traveller in mind, the first Virgin Hotel in its entirety is designed to delight and inspire.
With no run-of-the-mill rooms, you’ll find features such as specially made beds from which you can comfortably work, free wifi and bottled water, no early or late check-in (or -out) fees, and mini SMEG fridges, in Virgin’s signature bright red, stocked with affordably treats.
If that’s not enough, the closets are even custom-designed with built-in spaces for luggage, shoes and underwear – and there’s also a nightly ‘social’ hour, featuring complimentary drinks.
As with everything Virgin touches, the Hotel is cutting edge, cheeky and cool. Watch this space, we say!
